We are currently seeking a MEP Coordinator in Atlanta, GA to join our family. This candidate can also be located in one of our other southest offices (Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Charlotte, West Point).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • At the request of the project management team, assist in the coordination of the MEP trades to develop BIM programs
  • At the request of the project management team, review MEP proposed change order requests
  • At the request of the project management team, assist in the MEP trades coordination for commissioning of near-complete projects
  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.
  • In cooperation with the project management team, conduct post-bid, pre-award interviews of MEP subcontractors to assure no scope gaps
  • Develop or nurture relations with key MEP designers to help improve communications with our project management team
  • Report to CEO and/or COO of any significant issues observed that could potentially have a negative impact on the company
  • At the request of the project management team, review and verify MEP subcontractor pay requests
  • Assist the preconstruction staff with budgets, constructability, scheduling, scopes of work, proposal breakdowns and bid leveling
  • Assist in the preconstruction process (e.g. scope review, bid day preparation, generate schematic/design development budgets)
  • Recruit and prequalify potential MEP subcontractors for upcoming projects. This effort will be in conjunction with the preconstruction staff and the Subcontractor Prequalification Manager.
  • At the request of the preconstruction group, assist in preparing and/or presenting to Owners on new projects
  • At the request of the project management team, conduct MEP project inspections to ensure quality, contract compliance, percent complete, schedule milestones, etc.
  • Establish, develop and nurture relationships with key MEP subcontractors with whom we have ongoing work. Develop informal, but professional, partnerships that can be mutually beneficial
  • The MEP Coordinator will perform such other special assignments as may be requested by company management. These could be on-time, unique tasks or ongoing assignments
  • At the request of the project management team, review MEP submittal data prior to submission to the design team
  • At the request of the project management team, assist in the development of a 100 day plan to obtain a temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO)
  • Must be willing to travel if required
  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University
  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
