We are currently seeking a Assistant Preconstruction Manager in Atlanta, GA. to join our family.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

·         Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

·         Prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work; prices work items.

·         Reviews design options and recommends the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.

·         Participates in presentations to clients (if required).

·         Review all pricing with the Preconstruction Lead.

·         Uses historical unit price and productivity data.

·         Participates in project hand-off meetings; attends meetings with suppliers and subs as needed.

·         Visits project sites to observe construction methods.

·         Reviews proposal specifications and drawings and attends pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate.

·         Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man-hour figures.

·         Determines critical path schedule and sequence of work.

·         Investigate the site before bid, identifying waste area, borrow area, and dump sites.

·         Updates skills for software tools and technology utilized.

·         Reviews terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serves as liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process.

·         Provides technical support to personnel preparing estimates for assigned bids.

·         Must be willing to travel.

·         Investigate value engineering options.

·         Maintains files of working documents as a backup for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers.

·         Ensures all working documents and data are maintained to back up estimate figures.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University and 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
